Hi, I’m Jess I’m a photographer with a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. My love for art began at a young age and has grown into a lifelong dedication to creating authentic, emotive imagery. With both a degree and a Master’s in Fashion Photography, I bring a refined creative eye and professional expertise to every session. Alongside my photography career, I have previously worked in a school for children with SEND — an experience that has shaped my patience, empathy, and ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. This naturally carries through into my work, helping me create a calm, supportive environment for every client. Family is at the heart of everything I do. As a mum to two young daughters, I truly understand how quickly time passes and how important it is to preserve those fleeting moments. Whether it’s the excitement of your wedding day or the tiny details of your child’s early years, these are memories worth holding onto. My style reflects my love for storytelling—soft, natural light and gentle tones that beautifully complement your home and your life. TIPS BEFORE YOUR PHOTOSHOOT Here are some helpful tips and key information to prepare you for your upcoming photo session, so you know what to expect and what to bring on the day. Family Photo Session Family photo sessions typically last up to one hour. During this time, there will be opportunities to capture a variety of images, including sibling portraits, parent-and-child moments, individual shots, and group photographs. I recommend opting for white, black, or neutral-toned clothing for a clean and timeless look. A bathroom is available on-site should you prefer to change upon arrival. You are also welcome to bring an additional outfit; however, please note that outfit changes will be accommodated as time permits. If your child is prone to dribbling, it may be helpful to bring a spare top for them. Newborn Photo Session Newborn sessions typically last up to two hours. Please ensure you bring an ample supply of milk and nappies, as your baby may require more frequent feeds than usual. It is also recommended to feed your baby shortly before the session begins. You are welcome to bring any special toys or clothing items you would like to include in the photographs. Time will be allocated towards the end of the session for parent and sibling portraits. For these images, I recommend wearing white, black, or neutral tones for a timeless and cohesive look. A bathroom is available on-site should you wish to change into these outfits upon arrival. If older siblings are attending, it may be helpful to bring non-messy snacks and something to keep them entertained during breaks and after their photos have been taken. Cake Smash Photo Session Your cake smash session will last up to one hour. This includes photographs of your little one enjoying their cake, followed by a short bubble bath session for some relaxed, playful images afterwards. Please bring an outfit suitable for the cake smash (ideally something you don’t mind getting messy or stained), as well as a towel and a clean change of clothes for afterwards. If you have chosen to provide your own cake, please ensure it is brought with you on the day of the session. Alternatively, if you have selected a professionally baked cake, this will be arranged and delivered to the studio in advance of your session. Mini Photo Sessions Mini photo sessions typically last between 20–30 minutes, unless otherwise specified in your booking notes. For a timeless and cohesive look, I recommend wearing white, black, or neutral-toned clothing. If your child is prone to dribbling, it may be helpful to bring a spare top. For themed sessions such as “Fairy” and “Toy Story,” you may prefer to arrive with your child in their everyday clothing and change them into their costume upon arrival. For “First Day” mini sessions, you may wish to bring items such as your child’s school bag, fleece, cardigan, or any accessories featuring their school logo to incorporate into the images. You are also welcome to bring small edible treats for your child. I recommend choosing non-messy options that are easy to handle, such as white chocolate buttons or raisins. Beach Mini Session Beach mini sessions are very limited and take place at a beautiful sandy beach just outside of Bristol. For these sessions, I recommend wearing white or light-toned clothing to create a fresh, summery aesthetic. Please note that access to the beach involves a short path, so pushchairs are not advised due to the sandy terrain. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at this location year-round, so you are more than welcome to include them in your session. The car park is located approximately a one-minute walk from the beach. I will meet you at the beach entrance, directly opposite the car park. Christmas Mini Session Your Christmas mini session will last up to 30 minutes, allowing time for a variety of images, including family, sibling, and individual portraits. A new backdrop is introduced each year, and an image will be shared in advance when online booking opens. For a cohesive festive look, I recommend white, neutral, or red-toned clothing. In the lead-up to the winter season, I will also share styling inspiration via my Instagram stories. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like a copy of the styling guidance or backdrop preview. Maternity Photo Sessions Maternity photo sessions will take place at my studio (unless booked as a location photoshoot) and will take up to one hour. I recommend bringing: White or nude and dark underwear, A pair of jeans and white shirt or bralet, Any clothes you would like to wear in the photos, A copy of your baby scan, Any baby items you would like in your photos, Partners and children are always welcome to get involved in the session, I recommend dressing little ones and partners in white or neutral coloured tops and jeans (avoiding any logos or patterns). Please note, I do have a small collection of maternity dresses and fabrics for draping at my studio that you are welcome to chose from.
